Description:
Collect cores from spruce trees for the purpose of establishing chronology and distribution of potential slope disturbance in close proximity to mining claims near the Trans Alaska Pipeline - funded by Gas Pipeline Corridor CIP. Project to study permafrost slope movement near Treasure Creek in close proximity to TAPs because of the possibility that mining activities may resume in the area and could result in slope destabilization. Project work included evaluation of exisiting borehole data, multiple epochs of lidar, and airborne geophysical data; project funded through an RSA with the State Pipeline Coordinator's office.
