• Description:

  2024 proposed STATEMAP project collaboration between Coastal hazards and HydroSurf section to address hazards faced by riverine communities. The goals of the project are to collect baseline data to inform flood and erosion modeling for threatened riverine communities and to work alongside the Calista Coporation to provide useful geologic information for laying broadband communication cables. Alaska legislature has not approved matching STATEMAP funds and project preparations are currently on hold.
