State Geospatial Information Officer - Dr. Jones provides statewide coordination for geospatial data, initiatives, and policies in Alaska. She serves the principal role in advancing geospatial goals for the State of Alaska and is the Executive Director for the Alaska Geospatial Council. Leslie has 20+ years of experience as a geospatial statistician in applied research science and has 17 peer-reviewed publications. In her position as GIO she promotes the value of modernizing technologies to increase efficiencies, analytics, and data-driven decision making.
