Simone Montayne

Simone Montayne

Simone is a Geologic Information Specialist responsible for ensuring that DGGS data products adhere to federal Open Data standards. Her work plays a crucial role in making geologic information easily accessible to the public while also supporting the ongoing stewardship of legacy data. With over 15 years of experience working with FGDC metadata standards, Simone compiles the division's metadata files and digital data releases. In addition, she oversees the division's field safety and communication equipment cache and serves as the chairperson of the DGGS Field Operations Safety Committee. In this leadership role, Simone is dedicated to maintaining the safety of field operations and fostering a culture of safety within the division.
