The Director's Office provides strategic planning for the Division's programs to ensure that DGGS is meeting the needs of the public, manages the Division's fiscal affairs, and provides personnel and clerical services. The Director acts as a liaison between the Division and local, state, federal, and private agencies; seeks out and encourages cooperative geologic programs of value to the state; and advises the Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources about geologic issues.
Felisa handles all aspects of procurement (large and small), invoicing utilities, systems request forms.
Theresa is reponsible for Reimbursable Service Agreements (RSA) set up, reporting, receipting publication fees as well as GMC usage, and invoicing industry program receipts (SDPR).
Liz handles onboarding/offboarding of employees, all aspects of travel for our staff and GMAB board members.
Jess is our receptionist at our public information desk and handles publication sales, payroll entry, OneCard/Pcard reconciliation and account requests.
Kelsey provides grant administrative support for DGGS. She reviews grant materials and applications ensuring they match the funding opportunity (NOFO), and submits our grant reports to multiple platforms.
Sonja is responsible for budget development, accounting, and financial management for the division. She coordinates and supervises all aspects of the administrative functions for the division, including personnel, procurement, travel, inventory, policy and procedure development.
